RIP Chris!

I've been doing quite a bit of designs these past weeks and this work being of the nature that makes me think hard, I've started listening to my power trip music to help me work. In whats been a habit from young, I need to listen to music to be able to study something or to solve problems.

I am listening again to grunge mainly now, namely Soundgarden and Monster Magnet. As with all music I listen to, I could care a lot about the lyrics. So the appeal with grunge is not just the music, but the attitude the lyrics express or the general mood of that time.
I keep playing Outshined quite a few times and though I guess Cornell is not recognized very talented vocalist in the traditional sense, he is just awesome in this song. At the risk of sounding pretentious, his voice is primal in this song especially when he growls with such intensity.
Listen to the song from 3:35 to 4:16 and you will know why I love this song so. Makes me wanna scream along with him.
RIP Chris!

Mend them all!

Broken Strings
The Tuning pecks
Sometimes
The broken Beyblades
I like to mend them all.
So much joy in it.
The boyish
Sense and pride
Every thing broken
can be fixed
every piece can be
put together
Broken souls
in brave bodies
Everything
Can be fixed
They all come
together
Like the songs
you write!

Things can be grey!

Have you ever seen a flock of sheep grazing around a yellow sunset... happiness... yes, sadness is happiness... there is a colour to it .. mine is yellow! Some times its black like an eclipse... or you can call it grey that could be a black and white turbulent sea! If you dont get it... you havent seen it in the middle of the night and probably havent jumped for a swim... agree, on full moon days its grey! Well.. if u dont have acess... look at the streets... they are grey at times too... well sometimes all the times!

The Spare Tyre!

The beauty of mundane things
Like how it outlines
Stories of slowed trips
begin to emerge
from a blur of black buttons
when fast moving cars slow down.
Have you noticed anything?
I'm sure we all did!

Off he goes, Off I go!

Taking sometime off from a busy 5 days to get riffbook off the ground... shut the laptop and streaming music... yeah... all of Vedder, Kurt and Lou reed and this one pops up!
This song is about me an my brother.
I was a high strung guy...going from idea to another idea... success to failure and failure to success over the past 20 years...changing jobs frequently...living by the seat of my pants.
My brother is the opposite...same job since college...he'll live in the same house for the rest of his life...very cool, calm and laid back.
I imagine my brother wrote this song for me...possibly to try to coax me into slowing down, settling down, and coming down to Earth.
And at the end of the song, just when he thinks that I have slowed down..."I was off again."

Locked Down with the Parents!

The house is empty with 2 people. A Void that fills their eyes and space. "The house is always silent" They take turns in the kitchen to cook/clean. There's always some leftover rice and curry on the counter, cant cook that little! One doesn't eat, One finds it hard to chew the bones!
One of the walls in the living room used to have photographs of divine mercy and the lady of good health. They have now been replaced with colorized ones of the young children of the house growing up. The old man shows it off to visitors. The old lady always has something to say when she passes by the picture collage, The old man nods from behind the newspaper. After all, Life thrives around the poloroid ruins, that are dissolving in time.
I realize, they have forgotten how to smile and I do make my jokes, yet be cautious to not breach the barricades they have built around, Im not going to stick around here for long!
The mood is progressively pervasive. I realize this is how some hearts break. Slowly. Silently.
'Saudade'
Thats how they ended up. Indulging in lost time or silently waiting.
Now, wait a second, "Am I not just a shadow of their feeling?" To live between the spaces of dark and happy is a mystery!
I guess that this is how some hearts beat. Slowly. Silently.

Is your's worth living?

Life is typically misunderstood for its adventure.

It's simplicity. It’s fashion. It’s bounds. It’s thrill. It’s emotion. It’s enigma. It’s virtue. It’s franchise. It’s intellect. This is an interesting thing about such life. It is shallow and deep, satisfying and deceiving.

If life has not deceived you, then it’s not worth living!

Clockinn and Srilanka!

It's always a great place when the lobby is where
1) They let u sit on the floor
2) Let you stretch your feet
3) Its free unlimited pour of coffee
4) its free unlimited pour of internet
5) They let you access a lovely library
6) They have a cadence acoustic
7) They know their color is character

So much for looking back!

These are endless days
Summers ahead and winter now
In hiding and no blooms on the trees
The tender man eyes light up
As he sees me and many like me
He will hit
Hit again
Again
And again
Objects in the rear view mirror are closer to you
For a reason!

Kathmandu Diaries 2020 Feb

The left of me is my left commie friend... glad the morning and lunch was spent with him...I only remember him as the long haired thin boy who with many fought thick and thin to get this place democratic... So many people here, so many memories!
So much love for this country... but mine is minuscule compared to what he has...

Dust and Stardust

Let the truth
Manifest
Let the life
Manifest
Let the love
Manifest
Or at least
The death
Manifest
For Rasputin
Everything
Was nothing
But
Rust
And stardust!

Know them all!

Know them your sins
Struggles and failures.
Sew them from behind
Wander
Wanderlust
Search and find
Let it go before thy
Into the calling
Of your lives
Wander
Wanderlust
Remember the snugness
Of every goodness.
Know them your sins
Struggles and failures
Sew them from behind
Perfectly in every way.

One box, 3 Countries, 8 Cities... This year!

Wake up earlier
Than the most world
Instinctively go to the car
Slide out of reverse
Into drive
My little escapes
When I cant be
On an airplane,
Looking at clouds
Out of the window!
